DC Receiving Lead
Supports the operations of the Distribution Center and reports to the Operations Manager. Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and material, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock. Oversees and leads receiving team. Works with the operations manager to ensure all products are received and processed correctly.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises up to an 8-person team to ensure daily deliveries of inbound floor loaded containers are palatized for put away.
- This is a manual labor job and will require unloading of containers.
- Operate industrial vehicles and equipment (i.e., forklifts)
- Uses hand scanners to assist with pallet movement.
- Transfers pallets from receiving area to designated staging area for put away.
- Coordinates with operations manager to ensure the appropriate number of personnel are scheduled.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- OSHA safety and Hazmat training certificates are offered by Acadian Crossing Consumer Products
- Move product and/or materials manually as required.
- Manually cleaning, sorting, or arranging product
- Receiving and processing warehouse stock products
- Performing inventory controls by properly marking product
- Driving a forklift or operating a pallet jack for staging of products; all warehousemen will receive forklift certification by Acadian Crossing Consumer Products
- Maintaining a sanitary workplace
- Adaptable, has the ability to approach obstacles with persistence and a positive attitude.
- Teaming to ensure cross-functional training and efficient operations. Uses systems thinking and displays an understanding of how one’s own work affects other functions or groups.
- Direct Reports – DC Receiving Associates 1 and 2 in addition to contracted labor employees assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or Equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in warehousing
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills.
- Experienced operating a Forklift.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both managers and fellow employees.
- Comprehensive problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
Work Environment: Warehouse Environment – working with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory.
Physical Demands:
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work.
- Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 20 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,500.00 per year
