Syracuse Haulers is currently looking to add to our operations team. We have openings to join our operations team. We are looking to add Dispatch/Line Customer Service Representatives to our residential and commercial lines.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for communicating with drivers on a daily basis regarding issues with paperwork, routing, customers, etc. as well as quoting new customers, and all paperwork regarding drivers and routing. Receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information. Address problems and requests by transmitting information and/or providing solutions. Receive and dispatch orders for products and/or deliveries. Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance. Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule. Work in this position requires the ability to work under limited supervision and to make decisions and work independently.
Essential Functions:
- Complete daily walk through with drivers regarding issues with paperwork.
- Safety reviews with drivers.
- Review driver paperwork from previous day(s).
- Container tracking in inventory system.
- Enter work orders and customer calls into log, and process credit applications.
- Coordinate truck maintenance with shop.
