- Dispatch and plan drivers for local intermodal / drayage operation.
- Ensure all customer requests are processed and received, including orders and pickup requests.
- Trace containers on rail websites to verify container locations, LFD, storage and rail billing.
- Build strong relationships with drivers and customers.
- Track and trace shipments for on-time performance and communicate status to the customer.
- Maintain a customer service attitude and provide excellent service.
- Enter and update data in company dispatch software for accuracy.
- Work and collaborate with other company departments.
- At least 1 year of current dispatching experience
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience with “live dispatch functions”
- TMW or Mcleod experience desired
- E-log, automated workflow and form messaging experience highly desired
- Tanker or ISO Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of DOT, HOS & FMCSA standards
