Position Summary: The Local Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching crews and trucks locally according to customer requests, specifications or needs to ensure timely and efficient completion of all orders.
Priorities:
• Prepare daily schedules
• Relay shipment orders, messages and information to or from work crews, supervisors and quality control
• Working on International shipments
• Hands-on coordination with and support of drivers, packers, loaders for local and long-distance moves
• Develop working relationships with other agents to produce backhaul shipments and SIT
• Address questions, problems and requests for service or equipment
• Adhere to maintenance and safety programs
• Monitor quality assurance and timeliness of crews

The pay range is $60,000 - $65,000 annual equivalent. Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days, bereavement pay and retirement benefits.
