The Dispatcher Utilizes the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) to dispatch vehicles summary is an overview of the position.
- Prepare DA Form 2401, Vehicle Dispatch Log and FS Form 829, FMIS Dispatch Sheets, Daily/Monthly Utilization Record, prior to dispatch of vehicles.
- Coordinate maintenance of vehicles with TMP customers and the Maintenance Contractor; and ensures that the Forms required by maintenance are completed and furnished to the maintenance contractor at time vehicle is turned in for maintenance.
- Ensure FS Form 829’s and the FMIS Dispatch Sheets are closed out at the end of the month and new forms are prepared for all vehicles.
- Maintain data required for reports, to include but not limited to, number of requirements, number of trips, hours of operation, mileage, passengers transported, and accidents.
- Direct vehicle operations as necessary to accomplish any valid requirement.
- Work with customers on changes of time frame, locations and number of passengers
- Advise Supervisor of events throughout the day.
- May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess and continuously maintain a current driver’s license.
- Prior dispatching experience preferred.
- Class B New Jersey license with passenger endorsement preferred.
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.
- Clerical and computer or other experience, which requires familiarity with the scheduling and operation of motor vehicles in open street and highway traffic.
- Must present a neat appearance and pleasant attitude when dealing with customers and other employees.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
