Dispatcher

As a dispatcher for our moving company, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the logistics of our moving operations. You will be responsible for efficiently scheduling and dispatching moving crews to various locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures, and maintaining effective communication with both customers and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Operations: Coordinate and schedule moving assignments for drivers and moving crews.
• Morning Duties: Open the office and ensure trucks are prepared for each specific job & PTI is done before crews arrive to start the day.
• Crew Communication: Prepare a brief for each crew lead for their specific job to go over with them in the morning prior to their departure from the warehouse.
• Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, giving them a confirmation call to go over all needed items for the job to be done correctly, providing updates on the status of their move and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including trucks, equipment, and manpower, to meet customer demands.
• Problem Resolution: Handle logistical challenges and unforeseen issues that may arise during the moving process, implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records within our CRM of moving assignments, including job details, schedules, and customer information.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with drivers, moving crews, and other team members to optimize workflow and enhance service quality.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor performance metrics and service standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics management
• Flexibility to work 6am-2pm Monday-Saturday and occasional Sundays
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
