Dispatch Manager
In this position, you will be responsible for leading a dispatch team to ensure a consistent quality of service, customer satisfaction, scalability, and support across the growing network of our client’s customers.
General Responsibilities
Coordinate and organize daily dispatch activities, including assigning tasks to team members and ensuring work is completed on time and efficiently.
Training and onboarding of new team members.
Manage scheduling, coordination and tracking of dispatchers shifts for the week.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity and job satisfaction.
Maintain open communication with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to effectively manage dispatch operations.
Creating a culture of high-level communication between dispatchers and all customers regarding operational challenges, updates, investigations, and ETAs in a professional timely manner.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in dispatch operations.
Requirements:
Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that regularly requires shift in focus/job responsibilities week-to-week.
Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred, but direct dispatch experience is not required.
Prior management experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
