Dishwasher/Prep Cook
Kapu Bar is made for people looking to escape for a time. To forget about the daily hustle and responsibilities. Our job is to make them feel like they have been taken away to a tropical paradise. California is the birthplace of tiki culture and we look forward to carrying on and expanding that tradition.
We will be serving Hawaiian local food, which is a mixture of many influences such as Hawaiian, Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, Portuguese, etc. All our proteins will be locally sourced, sustainable and humanly raised, as well as our local, seasonal produce when possible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cleans, Washes and puts away dishes and equipment
- Kitchen Prep - Various tasks to help prepare for dishes
- Bar Prep - Juicing and cutting garnishes
We are located in up and coming, historic downtown Petaluma, directly next to parking. At Kapu, we will be constantly evolving. Qualifications/Skills:
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member
- Follows directions and instructions
- Takes pride and ownership in your work
- Able to lift 25lbs
Education and Experience Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- CA Food handler card required, or must be complete within 30 days of hire
- Restaurant experience preferred
- Certificate in Culinary Arts optional
- Love for food and the service industry
