Green Sage Cafe is seeking a Dishwasher / Prep to join our team. We are seeking individuals who respect the values of our company in preparing healthy, delicious meals by following simple recipes using organic, all-natural, and local ingredients. Our menu satisfies a customer base with a variety of dietary restrictions and lifestyle choices such as vegan, gluten-sensitive, dairy-free, etc. Must be a true team player by respecting all staff, proving dependability, and showing initiative. Shifts are available between the hours of 7am-5pm so no late nights are required. We're flexible, so we will work with outside schedules.

Responsibilities
The Dishwashers responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Arrive ready to work at your scheduled time with a positive attitude and in proper uniform.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional service by ensuring quality and customer service standards.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
- Ensure the dish machine is operating at the correct temperature in all cycles and the proper detergents are being used in the dish machine and triple sinks.
- Ensure the cleanliness of every dish, pot/pan, piece of silverware, and glass that comes to the kitchen and goes to the guest. Place cleaned dishes in designated areas.
- Accurately read a prep list and manage time efficiently to ensure all items are completed.
- Prepares all food items in a sanitary manner while following recipes and portion controls set by the restaurant.
- Utilize proper knife handling skills.
- Understand how to properly use and maintain equipment.
- Collect full bus tubs and trash cans from the front of the house and replace them with empty bins.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, storage areas, and floors.
- Take out garbage and put compost and recyclable materials in proper bins. Maintain trash bin cleanliness to avoid pest infestation.
- Maintain a calm demeanor and positive attitude during stressful times.
- Assist with receiving truck orders. Use the FIFO method when putting items away.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager.

- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
- Managing bussing stations
- Dish Washing
- Food prep
- Ability to work on your feet for six hours or more a day
- High level of professionalism
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
- Self starter, but also works well as part of a team
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
- ServSafe certification (Recommended)
