Job Title: Dishwasher
Department: Kitchen
Reports to: Executive Chef
Summary: The Redding Country Club is looking to add reliable individuals to its already strong culinary support team. The Dishwasher will ensure that wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized. No experience in the food industry is necessary. Employees at The Redding Country Club are eligible to apply for the Employee Scholarship. The Club awarded nearly $25,000 in tuition scholarships to its staff in 2022.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Washes all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses by hand or using dishwashers
2. Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas
3. Empties and cleans trash receptacles
4. May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed
5. Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation
6. Other related duties as assigned

1. Ability to understand and follow directions
2. Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast paced
3. Able to work well with others and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation
4. Detail oriented and thorough; good communication and organization skills
Physical Requirements:
1. Prolonged periods of standing and walking
2. Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds
3. Must be able to bend and stoop frequently
4. Must be able to immerse hands in water
5. Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment
6. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
