Job Description:

Manage sponsor relationships within the Acquisition Finance group and lead a variety of large transactions including leveraged acquisitions loans and high yield bonds for sponsors. Serve as Deal Principle responsible for directing the financial, technical, legal and commercial aspect of financing transactions. Manage the origination, execution and distribution of complex leveraged finance transactions with dollar values in the hundreds of millions and millions of associated fees and interest income. Lead client negotiations representing ING to sponsors and manage internal negotiations with the credit team, syndications team and internal and external legal counsel. Oversee risk and portfolio management by managing the credit, structure and distribution risks in transactions. Collaborate with the portfolio management team to manage transactions post-closing and identify recap opportunities. Interpret, analyze and effectively negotiate legal documents to ensure compliance of transactions as well as execute appropriate syndication strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field and minimum 5 years of experience in any occupation involving structured finance transactions in banking industry. Experience must include: originating and executing complex structured finance transactions; structuring deals and coordinating pitches to generate leads in debt financing; managing the preparation and analysis of credit applications, due diligence, financial models, and term sheets; leading deal teams; coordinating with internal risk management, syndications, and legal departments; engaging with external sponsors, debt advisors, and legal counsel; developing relationships with private equity firms; and negotiating term sheets and loan documentation with clients.
