Director, WW Financial Planning & Analysis- BD Biosciences

Job Description Summary
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis reports directly to the Vice President of Finance for BD Biosciences and provides global business support for all facets of the Financial Planning process and reporting for $1.5B business. The Director of FP&A is expected to be an integral member of the Platform Leadership Teams, Platform Product Development Teams and BDB Finance Leadership Team. The Director of FP&A is also a member of the WW Biosciences Extended Leadership Team. This role manages a team of 5 with 3 direct reports.
Job Description
Responsibilities and expectations include:

• Be an active and integral member of the aforementioned Biosciences business teams, which includes attending regular team meetings, presenting the financial operating results of the business unit, providing advice and support to the other team members, being actively involved in the decision making process, contributing to the development and implementation of the global business strategy, and functioning as a business partner to WW BDB Leadership, including working very closely with the BDB President.
• Coordinate the Financial Planning and analysis functions for the Biosciences business unit, while providing guidance and direction to a team of dedicated finance professionals. Coordinate the preparation of the Biosciences business unit annual budget, quarterly projections, and long-term plan(ASR) to ensure that they are achievable and consistent with overall business unit and corporate objectives.
• Thoroughly understand the global operating results, annual budgets, quarterly projections and long-term financial plans; present operating results at Platform and Global Marketing Leadership Team meetings and other forums.
• Work directly with the VP of Finance, BDB President, regional business/finance leaders and global platform teams (including operations and R&D) to meet worldwide financial commitments.
• Consolidate, analyze, and present the monthly KPI/KDG schedules. Lead critical metric discussions with Biosciences LT and Life Sciences segment leadership.
• Assist the VP of Finance, Business Unit President, and VP/GMs in preparing for senior -level meetings and presentations.
• Provide financial support for business development initiatives including acquisitions, licensing agreements, business collaborations and other contractual relationships impacting financial performance.
• Ensure that the general analytical and reporting requirements of the Company, related to the Business unit, are met in a high quality and timely manner.
• Mentor and develop team members for high performance while fostering an environment that attracts, retains and motivates a diverse and highly talented workforce.

Qualifications:

• 10+ plus years' relevant work experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• MBA/CPA strongly preferred.
• Candidate must be highly proficient working with Microsoft Excel
• Proficient with other Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong leadership skills - ability to lead and serve as an effective team member in a large organization including planning, developing, organizing, directing, managing, and evaluating personnel.
• Candidate should be well organized and possess good analytical and communication skills.
• Analytical skills should include a strong understanding of valuation metrics such as IRR, MIRR, net present value, terminal value, payback period, etc.
• Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally; the estimated travel commitment is 10-20%.
• Experience with a multi-national and matrixed organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment.
• The successful candidate will have a track record of assuming growing responsibility and proactive business partnering.

Salary Range Information
$162,400.00 - $292,400.00
