Director, Total Rewards

In this role you will...

This position is responsible for designing and executing Total Rewards programs to attract and retain top talent and fuel and motivate a workforce to feel appreciated and rewarded for their contributions. Manages all payroll and benefits administration and ensures that the organization is in compliant with regulatory requirements. Leads the HRIS strategy to ensure that the HR technology platform and delivery model meets business and user needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and administer:
    • cost effective and market competitive plans to optimize PPCFLEX’s ability to attract and retain the highest performers.
      • rewards that meet the needs of an increasingly diverse pool of employees, defined by geographical trends, technology advances and talent demographics.
      • clear approaches for pay equity and inclusive benefits.
  • Work with the CHRO to develop and implement PPCFLEX’s Total Rewards strategy and programs. Ensure that all programs align with our rapid business growth and People team priorities.
  • Works with the CHRO to set the strategic direction for the design and delivery of our health care programs to optimize spend and foster a healthy work environment.
  • Develop and drive the compensation (hourly and salary) and benefits strategies and programs that attract, reward, and retain key talent populations.
  • Innovate and react quickly as business and market realities change, focusing on pay equity, best practices, and trends; ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Drive competitive and attractive Total Rewards strategies that are cost-effective and consistent with market trends and aligned to PPCFLEX’s business priorities.
  • Lead job evaluation, job classification/reclassification, salary structures, benefit plans and retirement program benchmarking.
  • Develop and operate world-class reporting and analytics drive business results; through predictive analytics and reporting drive leader accountability in partnership with external partners and internal reporting/analytics function.
  • Lead the team through regular benchmarking cycles to analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and best practices to create market competitive reward packages.
  • Strategize with the Talent Acquisition team to develop competitive offers rooted in market data and aligned with our compensation philosophy for new hires and existing employees.
  • Lead change management and communications of Total Rewards philosophy and practices with managers, team members, and across the People Team.
  • Develops benefit administration and payroll requirements for our HRIS system to enhance administration and our HR reporting/analytics capabilities.
  • Acts as a liaison with selected outside advisers or consultants in providing information and data for analysis and benchmarking.
  • Serve as the accountable leader and project coordinator for Total Rewards for all merger and acquisition (M&A) work. This includes integration of newly acquired organizations and employees into current compensation and benefit programs.
  • Drive analytical rigor and deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing programs; establish key metrics including usage, engagement, and cost analyses.
  • Build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own and operate all compensation and benefit programs including short-term and long-term incentive programs, recurring compensation cycles, compensation program targets, quota planning, account assignments, benefit changes/enhancements, annual benefit enrollment program, wellness initiatives, etc.
  • Provides supervision and training of direct reports.


Key qualifications we want from you:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in Compensation and Benefits management, including equity design, planning, M&A, Benefits leadership, and evolving strategies due to acceleration of the organization.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, principles and procedures fostering productive working relationships by working closely with colleagues across the HR function.
  • Demonstrated track record of design, development, communication and administration of Total Rewards strategies and plans, including bonuses, incentives, and other compensation vehicles, retirement plans, and health & welfare benefits.
  • Hands-on doer, as well as strategic thought leader to influence the business.
  • Extensive exposure to building and successfully executing Compensation and Total Rewards strategies for high-growth companies.
  • Proven ability to track, prioritize and drive to success multiple concurrent projects with a strong operational background.
  • Proven record of successfully managing multiple vendors and complex contracts.
  • Hands-on leader. You're resourceful, forward-thinking, drawn to building from ambiguous and unsolved problems and have an "own the outcome" mindset.
  • A visionary who can build the strategy to operationalize (able to see both the big picture while also understanding the details and impact to making the vision a reality).
  • Influence and partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders, able to partner with deeply technical as well as operational, business-minded leaders on key Compensation and Benefits topics.
