Director Supply Chain Analytics

Summary

The Director of Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for driving the analytics vision, overall leadership, and development of a Supply Chain analytics team. This position will be instrumental in defining the Analytics function and will leverage Supply Chain Analytics into a long-term competitive advantage. In this role, the Director of Supply Chain Analytics will participate in analytics, process, and project work across a broad set of functions, to include Logistics, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Customer Service and Deployment. Accountable to lead the function, prioritize analytics initiatives to align with Supply Chain strategy, and secure funds for technology and talent investments, this role is also responsible for setting the performance metrics framework to measure analytics adoption and success, and for communicating with key business partners through Global Food.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage the performance of the Supply Chain Analytics team members supporting Warehousing, Planning, Transportation, Customer Service and Deployment.

+ Collaborate with cross functional business leaders to define the strategy for operationalizing and scaling analytics solutions and supporting multi-year capital programs.

+ Direct the development and execution of the analytics strategic planning cycle including defining and managing the process for identifying and prioritizing analytics initiatives.

+ Drive initiatives from concept, through definition, analysis, scoping and leadership approval to deliver projects.

+ Elevate visibility into and evaluation of performance of each operations area (Logistics, Supply and Demand Planning, Customer Fulfilment), to a best-in-class level through the design and implementation of project-based initiatives that deliver value through service and efficiency. Lead and play an active role in global best practices and global standards and partnering with SC&CF teams across the globe.

+ Provide root cause analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions via digestible executive documents and presentations

+ Management responsibility for the Llamasoft DRP system.

Typical Education

+ Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

+ 10+ years related experience and/or training

+ Strong analytical skills, structured conceptual thinking, and statistical acumen in optimization, linear programming, network planning, time series and regression algorithms. Familiarity with AI algorithms is preferred.

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex statistical concepts to non-technical audience.

+ Report development experience required.

+ Data visualization/ BI tools: Power BI, Tableau or QlikView

+ Familiar with SQL, helpful to have knowledge of advanced/predictive analytics & AI

+ Familiarity with each core Supply Chain function and underlying processes (e.g. plan to produce, procure to pay, order to cash, etc); strong understanding of KPIs and related drivers for each Supply Chain function as well as their translation to P&L items

+ Demonstrated track record of achieving meaningful improvements in Supply Chain operations with quantifiable positive impact on P&L

+ Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing parallel analytical work streams and priorities with multiple stakeholders and aggressive timelines

+ Hands-on experience with SAP modules and data and/or Logility (planning process and associated algorithms) is a plus
