Team and Job Overview
The Social Media/Digital Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning and creation of social media and digital web campaigns of our clients, ranging from NBA, top global soccer clubs, international soccer tournaments, professional golf tours, notable brands and rightsholders in the events and entertainment industry.
The Social Media/Digital Director will report to the Head of Digital and will oversee 3 team managers and 6 digital specialists. This position is split between hands on tactical client delivery work and the ability to drive the strategic direction and growth of SPORTFIVE's digital content service line.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of SPORTFIVE digital team with oversight of and responsibility for driving best in class product to clients.
- Oversee, coach, develop and manage the performance of the digital specialists while supporting the digital managers to ensure the successful delivery of the digital team's services.
- Assign tasks and manage workforce scheduling within the team based on skill set and availability.
- Partner on business development to drive the business' response to growth opportunities with existing and prospecting clients through RFI's, RFPs, and organic conversations.
- Be on the cusp of trends in social media, technology and digital while applying to customers' target consumer.
- Proactively looks for opportunities for the team to improve, optimize and evolve its processes as the company and industry continues to shift.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
- 7+ years of experience in integrated or brand and digital marketing
- At least 3+ years of managing 2 or more direct reports, preference to those who have managed 5 or more entry level to manager employees.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite required. Project Management tools (i.e., Trell, Asana) and foundational Adobe Suite skills (i.e., Lightroom, Photoshop) preferred.

Job Requirements
- Non-negotiables like being able to lift heavy objects, working nights and weekends, no remote work, etc.
- Essential duties are performed onsite in the New York, NY office 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
Compensation
Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000
SPORTFIVE is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
