Director Senior Engineer/Developer Lead

As a pivotal figure in establishing RPC's Technology team, this role is at the forefront of tackling our most pressing software and operational challenges. You will be instrumental in driving the build-out of software and integrations that serve the needs of our pharmacies, prescribers, patients, and partners. This initiative is key to realizing our vision of creating a unified, data-driven platform, significantly enhancing RPC's value. Your leadership will shape our technology strategy and catalyze a transformation in how we utilize data for decision-making, setting a new standard in the healthcare sector. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and lead a team that will redefine the technological landscape of our organization.

• This senior level position comes with leadership responsibilities by way of coaching and mentoring of intermediate and junior staff
• Possess a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept to market launch, with a focus on test-driven design, continuous integration, and deployment
• Design and implement scalable API solutions from the ground up, integrating various cloud-based applications using tools like MuleSoft or Postman.
• Handle the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of key applications
• Write high-quality, and testable applications that support rapid delivery via continuous integration, delivery, and automated deployments
• Act as a full stack developer, supporting all software architecture tiers, including UIs, service APIs, and backend databases
• Advise company leadership on technology and software best practices
• Act as a subject matter expert to the business and users to effectively transform the business, user, and technical requirements into the desired application solution

Education/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years experience leading and mentoring other engineers in a technical capacity
• Data security and compliance background
• Cloud-based architecture experience (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
• Python or Java and front-end knowledge of Javascript and popular Javascript Frameworks (React, Vue, Next….)
• Familiar with tools for monitoring and optimization
• Soft skills should be cross-functional work, a fast-paced and team-oriented mindset, and a strong problem-solving and analytical skill set.
• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
• Portfolio/GitHub profile showcasing projects and contributions
