The Sr. Director of Construction and Facilities will work with the VP of Corporate Development & Real Estate and the CFO/SVP Operations to manage construction projects, facility improvements, and day to day care of the company’s real estate portfolio.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Budgets, scopes, manages and delivers multiple projects as approved by the executive team
- Manages and oversees 15+ member facility team to ensure that all facilities are maintained to Asbury standards
- Coordinates with management and operators in the field to resolve any facility issues/defects
- Budgeting and coordination of all equipment replacement
- Provides reports, analysis, cost comparisons, schedules, and information for reporting to the executive team
- Provides recommendations and cost estimates that align with the budget cycle
- Travel will be required on a regular basis to oversee projects, coordinate with vendors and review facilities team
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
- PMP certification
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to keep organized project files and records and communicate operations teams and executives
- Knowledge of building codes, building systems, and construction methods and materials
- Able to make decisions affecting prioritization of projects based on critical need, availability of funding, staff or resources, and windows of opportunity for construction
- Familiar with construction practices, costs, and running bids
- Comfortable with directly managing projects and overseeing team
- Track record of building and leading high-performance teams and developing talent
- Experience designing nationwide preventative maintenance programs
- Strong communication skills
- Preferred automotive construction related experience, especially with diversified brand exposure
