About Management Leadership For Tomorrow (MLT)
Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) exists to advance racial equity and social justice. We do this by elevating the career and economic trajectory of People of Color (POC) while changing employer practices to improve outcomes for all.
Launched in 2002, MLT is a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the corporate landscape in America by empowering the next generation of diverse leaders. We believe individuals of Black, Latinx, and Native American (BLNA) descent should not just survive, but thrive. MLT's programs for BLNA talent span college through mid-career to senior-level including c-suite and board of directors. We provide the next generation of diverse leaders with skills, coaching, and valuable relationships to accelerate their personal and professional trajectories.
Today, we partner with over 200 notable organizations across a variety of fields including tech, finance, and education. With over two decades of experience in developing and implementing racial equity strategies, MLT provides organizations with a winning DEI playbook, strategies, and tactics. Our Racial Equity at Work Certification Programs set a clear standard and roadmap for companies that are committed to advancing Black and Hispanic Equity in their workplaces.
MLT's Tech Sector / West Coast Team
MLT's Tech Sector / West Coast team partners with companies to develop and recruit top Black, Latinx, and Native American talent with the potential to become senior leaders of impact and influence within the Tech Sector and in other companies located on the West Coast, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. MLT partners play a critical role in recruiting, developing, and accelerating MLT's rising leaders. Companies' willingness to partner and renew/expand their annual MLT partnership depends upon successful engagement and execution with MLT's programs and services to help meet their objectives: hiring MLT undergraduate fellows, MLT MBA fellows, and MLT alumni (Rising Leaders) into key roles and progressing their company along their DEI journey.
Currently, 2,500+ MLTers work at Tech companies, including partners such as Google, Amazon, Apple, LinkedIn, Netflix, Comcast, Adobe, and Dell Technologies. Additionally, MLT has established partnerships with VC firms such as Greylock Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Kapor Capital, and others. The number of MLTers in Tech and the types of companies we partner with continue to grow, particularly as we have grown our technical talent pipeline to 600+ sophomore software engineers in our current undergraduate class. To that end, MLT also partners strategically with organizations whose values, missions, and activities align with MLT, such as CodePath, SMASH, Reboot Representation, and others.
Director, Partner Success (Tech Sector / West Coast)
The Director, Partner Success (Tech Sector / West Coast) will be responsible for managing and helping grow MLT's portfolio of existing and potential partners within the Tech Sector and on the West Coast, particularly the San Francsico Bay Area, CA. This role will work closely with partners to identify and facilitate opportunities to grow their pipeline of diverse talent, empower diverse leaders of impact and influence within their organization, and advance their organization on their DEI journey, leveraging the breadth of MLT's programs and services.
The Director, Partner Success (Tech Sector / West Coast) is an externally facing role but requires close and ongoing collaboration with, and the ability to influence, many internal MLT teams and stakeholders. In collaboration with the MLT Business Development team and the Tech Sector Partnerships Lead, this role will guide strategy and execution to grow the number of Tech Sector / West Coast partners. This includes not only pitching new partners but also working with existing partners to identify expanded opportunities to engage with the breadth of MLT's programs and services. Additionally, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders across MLT's Career Prep (CP) Program, MBA Professional Development (PD) Program, Experienced Talent Network (ETN), Career Advancement Program (CAP), Advisory Services, and Racial Equity at Work (ReW) team to ensure successful delivery of MLT's program and services, affirming MLT's value proposition and laying the foundation for partner renewals.
