The OR (Operating Room) Hospital Operations Director will manage overall strategic planning, business development, OR throughput and daily oversight for OR operations. You will partner with submarket leadership to support OR business operations throughout the submarket. You will help the Executive Director develop business plans for existing and new surgical services and reposition existing services.

Responsibilities:
- Directs the administrative, analytical and managerial support related to integration and implementation of new projects, standing committees, services, policies and procedures.
- Key liaison for the Northeast Ohio Market surgical footprint optimization
- Evaluates OR allocation and block time utilization
- Serves as business liaison to the ORs
- Responsible for regular cadence metrics updates and reporting
- Responsible for capital planning, managing routine capital budget, and corresponding project and new equipment execution for Main Campus. This includes coordination with surgical vendors.
- Business responsibility and financial accountability for Main Campus ORs; collaborates on budgeting, invoices, variance analyses, charge reconciliation, PO management and purchasing
- Produces business & operations presentations
- Collaborates with clinical stakeholders in productivity and staffing model planning
- Facilitates space and facilities needs, in addition to support service needs
- Manages and supervises direct and indirect reports, including those in a matrix relationship.
- Identifies opportunities for growth and development of caregivers.
- Monitors processes and recommends and implements improvements to ensure maximum service.
- Directs the annual budget process and participates in planning strategies related to revenue forecasting, human resource needs, facilities, services and market positions.
- Partners with Supply Chain for ongoing identification of surgical supply cost savings
- Collaborates with the teams who operate and maintain the Enterprise Instrument Depot
- Collaborates with Chair of Surgical Operations to lead committees focused on robotics, OR allocation, instrument standardization and surgical preference cards
- Responsible for continued accreditation readiness throughout defined areas
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives throughout surgical areas
- Shared responsibility for productivity of defined areas including Action OI management for OR staffing
- Business Resource to support the Main Campus ASCs including but not limited to regulatory requirements, OR optimization, contracts, supply chain initiatives, and productivity.
- Leverage Palantir tool to optimize OR throughput and forecasting
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other related field.
- Requires knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, manpower planning, supervision, compliance and operational analysis.
Certification

Work Experience:
- Requires five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare or operations roles to include budget development and forecasting, assessment of cost effectiveness of systems, planning and management of space and equipment, management of diverse levels of employees, planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
- Master’s Degree preferred and may substitute for two years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

Pay Range: $53.90 - $82.19 / hour
