We are looking for an experienced Brand Creative Director who is passionate about building brands that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the process of design strategy, planning and execution of marketing and product visuals that deliver upon the company’s vision and strategy.
*Note: While this role will be self-managed, autonomous, and require knowledge and expertise in design, it will be a requirement to collaborate with business, marketing, product, and engineering teams to articulate vision and execution.
Responsibilities
- Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement creative strategies that enhance the brand's visual identity and market presence. This involves understanding the brand's core values, target audience, and market trends.
- Leadership: Work with contract design teams to produce high-quality creative work that aligns with the brand’s vision and goals. This includes overseeing the creative process as well as managing the contractor relationships.
- Brand Guardianship: Ensure all creative outputs across various platforms (digital, print, social media, etc.) are consistent with the brand's identity and standards. Act as the brand's creative guardian by maintaining a cohesive visual style.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure a unified and effective brand strategy. Facilitate collaboration across teams to achieve coherent brand messaging and visuals.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative design techniques and technologies into the brand's creative projects. Encourage a culture of creativity and experimentation within the team.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and brand objectives. This includes resource management, scheduling, and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or equal on-the-job industry experience. Advanced degrees or specialized training in brand strategy or creative leadership are a plus.
- Experience: Extensive experience in creative design and brand development, with a proven track record of leading creative projects to success. Experience in a leadership role within a creative team is essential.
- Skills: Exceptional design skills with a deep understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and composition. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and understanding of digital and print production processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying creative concepts to non-creative stakeholders and leading client presentations.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and integrate creative concepts with broader brand strategies and business objectives.
- Emotional Maturity: Ability to understand, manage, and express emotions in a constructive and healthy manner. Being aware of one's own feelings, as well as being able to empathize with and understand the emotions of others. Appropriately handle difficult situations with composure, exhibit resilience in the face of adversity, and maintain stable relationships by effectively communicating and resolving conflicts.
Working conditions

- The position requires daily communication, prompt responses, and availability via Slack.
- This position requires full days of sitting/standing at a computer.
- This position may require occasional travel for organizational meet ups or work sessions and/or for user research.
