POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Talent Acquisition and Onboarding is responsible for shaping and executing the human resources strategy for our New York Licensed Home Care Agency. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around attracting, selecting, and onboarding top-tier talent while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Develop and Execute Talent Acquisition Strategies: Develop and implement effective Talent Acquisition strategies to attract top caregivers.

2. Collaborate on Workforce Planning: Collaborate with management to determine staffing needs, workforce planning, and budget requirements.

3. Ensure Compliance: Ensure all Talent Acquisition and compliance activities comply with New York state regulations, including background checks, reference checks, and licensing requirements, as well as industry standards.

4. Policy Development: Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Stay Informed of Regulations: Stay current with changes in home care regulations and employment laws in New York.

6. Maintain Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and compliance processes.

7. Audits and Inspections: Prepare for and participate in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and implement corrective actions as necessary.

8. Investigations: Conduct internal investigations into compliance concerns, incidents, and reported violations. Collaborate with relevant departments to address any issues.

9. Reporting: Prepare regular Talent Acquisition, onboarding and compliance reports and communicate findings to senior management.

10. Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks and work to mitigate them through proactive measures.

11. Develop Retention Strategies: Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover rates among home care professionals.

12. Conduct Meetings and Training: Organize and conduct Talent Acquisition, compliance and onboarding-related meetings and training sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of top talent.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs.
  • Utilize various recruitment channels, including online platforms, job fairs, and networking events.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and make recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

Onboarding:

  • Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new caregivers.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and training programs to familiarize new caregivers with company policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations.
  • Work closely with department managers to integrate new caregivers into their roles seamlessly.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding processes and make continuous improvements.

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and compliance teams.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and teamwork.
  • Set departmental goals, monitor performance metrics, and report on key indicators.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align Talent Acquisition and compliance strategies with organizational goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in an office environment with regular exposure to staff and patient elements and occasional stress.

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS: Must work cooperatively with others and perform a wide variety of complex and complete tasks involving office equipment and machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred); Or a minimum of six (6) years of supervisory experience in a home care agency.
  • Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and compliance management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

· Must be able to hear adequately with no more than an amplifier on the phone and speak in a manner understood by most people.
