SalaryHCP Talent is collaborating with a Long Term Care/Rehabilitation facility (280 beds) in Arverne, NY 11692 that is seeking a Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control (ADON) for a full-time day shift M-F position***Free Parking***
ADON Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Infection Control throughout the facility
- Creating a safe, healthy work environment that supports delivery of high-quality resident care.
- Creating a culture where highly engaged team members are able to contribute to the best in resident care and to grow professionally.
- Assuring the best resident care by supervising and directing Nursing Personnel
- Serving as a liaison for all nursing staff and nurse management
- Making decisions regarding nursing and unit problems
- Attending and supervising wound rounds weekly
- Participating in facility surveys
- Communicating effectively with staff, physicians, and resident’s families

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid RN license in New York State
- 2+ years Long-term care experience required
- 3+ years Supervisory experience required
- Infection control certification (nice to have)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
