Position Overview
As the Director of Student Affairs at Campus you will oversee the department of Student Affairs. This department is based out of New York and is responsible for overseeing virtual events, educational programming, career services, transfer services, overseeing orientation and graduation. This team also manages code of conduct infractions and investigations. The Director of Student Affairs will provide subject matter expertise and implement our academic policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for maintaining the health of the Campus student community. Your primary Key Performance Metric will be Student Satisfaction.
What you'll do:
- Lead Student Affairs team
- Establish and manage a peer mentor network to support students throughout their academic journey.
- Develop community values and ensure that students adhere to them
- Develop training programs for peer mentors to enhance their effectiveness and impact
- Manage mentorship programs with external advisors to provide students with valuable insights and guidance
- Lead virtual orientation programs for new students, ensuring a smooth transition into their first week of classes.
- Oversee graduation ceremonies
- Design and implement resources to support student well-being, including teletherapy services and wellness programs
- Partner closely with the Director of Student Success Operations to support our student retention efforts
- Speedily resolve student issues and complaints in compliance with School and Campus policies and procedures
- Responsible for overseeing the placement of Campus graduates into 4-year programs or careers
About you:
You'll fit right in if you are/have:
- At least 5 - 8 years of work experience having managed a team
- Experience in advisement or student services administration in higher education at a senior level
- A leader with a proven track record in Student Affairs
- Proven success in developing and executing mentorship programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Knowledge of best practices in student engagement and well-being
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
- Strategic thinking with a focus on enhancing the overall student experience
Location: New York | Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in our Tribeca office
