General Purpose:
Corsair is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Software Quality Assurance to lead our efforts in ensuring the exceptional quality of our cutting-edge gaming peripherals and components. You will oversee all software testing, hardware interoperability/compatibility validations, beta and usability testing, and DVT (Design Verification Test) processes. This leadership role is crucial in establishing a robust quality framework and pushing the boundaries of automated testing. Your mission is to create state-of-the-art testing methodologies that will prevent costly field issues and recalls.
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive software quality assurance strategy. Collaborate with product development teams to integrate quality practices throughout the design life-cycle.
- Testing and Validation: Lead the design and execution of test plans for software, hardware compatibility, beta programs, usability studies, and DVT validations.
- Team Evolution: Build and mentor a high-performing team of QA/DVT engineers and testers in US and Asia. Drive a culture that prioritizes automation and continuous improvement to achieve greater efficiency ("doing more with less").
- Debugging and Analysis: Oversee the root cause analysis of Software defects and hardware compatibility issues, working with Development to implement corrective actions.
- Process Optimization: Refine and implement test methodologies, tools, and processes to streamline testing activities and enhance product quality.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track key quality metrics, providing regular reports and data-driven insights to senior management.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential quality risks and develop strategies to prevent field failures and recalls.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in building and managing high-performance QA teams within technology or hardware-focused companies.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of Software development and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
- Expertise in a range of testing techniques (functional, regression, performance, security, etc.)
- Strong background in PC hardware and an understanding of hardware/software interactions.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and experience interacting effectively with cross-functional teams.

- The position is based in Milpitas, CA, and is mandatory to be on-site.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Annual Salary Range $185,000-$210,000 USD
