The AppleOne Team is currently seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing for a local Manufacturing company. This role is responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining a positive relationship with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams and global manufacturing partners regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities. This is an ON-SITE role with a Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm schedule in KERMAN, CA. The salary range for this opportunity is $100K/ DOE.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies which include cost-saving
initiatives
• Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks
• Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
between all departments and areas of the business
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and
specifications
• Train new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing
Preferred Qualifications:
• Five or more years of experience in management role
• Must have five or more years of experience in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain background
