Role Overview
Fisker Inc. is looking for a Director, Logistics Purchasingwho will work closely with the Global Purchasing team. Reporting to the VP of Purchasing, your role will include sourcing and procuring EV industry related parts, materials, equipment, and services, as well as obtaining best value pricing, taking advantage of volume, or exclusive discounts, and considering total costs. You will be required to source and procure OEM or OEM-approved/certified parts and materials while ensuring all parts and material meet applicable criteria and have proper documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Create and coordinate the sourcing and procurement plan with each Country Manager and Logistics Manager to ensure the sourcing and procurement plan achieves success.
  • Accountability for sourcing, planning, forecasting, spares purchasing and repair.
  • Cultivate communication with carriers and internal customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process that supports organizational goals.
  • Oversee supplier RFIs, RFQs, and commercial agreements.
  • Perform financial analysis of RFQ results to determine overall cost competitiveness and make recommendations based on RFI results.
  • Guide Buyers in reviewing data for reports and audits.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert with reviews of Terms and Conditions and support legal as required.
  • Develop teaming/pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Review requisitions, purchase orders and vouchers for accuracy to ensure they conform with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to determine needs and delivery schedules.
  • Obtain oral and/or written quotations from vendors.
  • Analyze specifications and determine the best source for procurement of commodities.
  • Review transportation and service requirements from department leadership.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors.
  • Solicits bids, analyze quotes, and recommend to management the best overall vendor.
  • Coordinate requirements from program and product support to the Purchasing department and follow-up to ensure orders are filled.
  • Track prices received from suppliers to forecast trends.
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm quotes and deliveries.
  • Lead Buyers in clearing rejected material.
  • Follow backlog reports and guide Buyers when replacement material needs to be located.

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain and Logistics experience with proven success in linking Supply Chain strategies to the business.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Business, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related area or equivalent experience. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, yet tactically evaluate and implement sophisticated supply chain and logistic programs and initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail; advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with success in working cross-functionally to implement solutions to business issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have ability to manage confidential matters and information, strong business acumen.
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required.

Expected Salary Range: $133,520.00 - $195,520.00 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, considering the wide variety of factors listed above.
