NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Director of Productionto join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is a onsite, direct hireposition.
SALARY: $100-150K + Bonus (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a production management role within an industrial products company.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Deep understanding of business operations, financial analysis, market trends, and strategic decision-making to drive growth and profitability.
- Proven ability to achieve goals and objectives efficiently.
- Reputation of being trustworthy and reliable.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other production management methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The role involves identifying the necessary staff for the Production department and leading them through various means such as effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Additionally, the individual provides guidance and training on resolving issues to promote rapid progress and better work relationships.
- Oversee and manage the entire production process, from the procurement process of raw materials to finished products, to ensure that quality standards are met, and products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Accountable for developing and implementing department policies and procedures that enable the organization to maintain and enhance its competitive stance, as well as the profitability of its operations.
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure that all production equipment is maintained, serviced, and calibrated to the required standards.
- Manage a team of Production supervisors and technicians, providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential bottlenecks in the production process.
- Analyze financial and management reports, adjusting fixed and/or variable expenses to enhance long-term profitability, and attaining the most efficient employee levels with minimal overhead and raw material expenses to meet the yearly budgetary goals.
- Directs the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of Production standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Ensure excellent customer service by aligning the production processes with customer service needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork across the production department.
