Position Summary
As the Director of Product & Portfolio Operations at EPS Learning, you will be a key senior leader in driving operational excellence within our educational product portfolio, combining strategic planning, program/project management, and business process implementation & optimization, across a complex business . This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in program management, vendor management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will play an important role in optimizing processes, enhancing organizational efficiency, and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Help define and drive the organization’s strategic processes, ensuring strategic priorities and goals are aligned across functions, and cascaded through teams (threading the needle).
- Build systems and structures needed to implement strategy and vision, drive cross-functional collaboration and throughput.
- Define and implement an effective operating model that supports the company’s strategic goals and enhances product development and lifecycle management.
- Oversee the end-to-end program management of our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
- Implement agile methodologies to enhance project delivery efficiency and adaptability to ever-changing market needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our product vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and products.
- Improve alignment, repeatability, effectiveness, and scaling of key product ops processes, including portfolio planning & execution, process & stakeholder management, evidence-based decision making.
- Partner with the CPO and other members of the product leadership team to ensure proper reporting and operational dashboards are in place to track and measure progress and ensure transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of technical leadership experience in program management.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in product development.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role with a focus on product Portfolio Operations, program management, and vendor management, preferably in the K-12 education industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient with accessing basic internet functions; Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook; NetSuite CRM.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
