Form of workLong Home Products, a leader in the Home Improvement industry since 1945 is currently seeking a Director of Operations to join our team and provide daily oversight of our Production department within our 6 locations—and growing! This position will be based in our Taunton, MA location.
The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring effective processes and practices are in place to achieve business success, employee success, and compliance with all safety regulations. The Director of Operations plays a critical role in the success of the company and must have advanced organizational and leadership skills. On a weekly basis you would be required to report to senior leadership on departmental metrics. The Director of Operations is a hands-on and high-level role working directly with our COO, CFO and Branch Managers
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working directly with COO, CFO and Branch Managers to ensure customer satisfaction
Oversee all installation, customer success, accounts receivable, procurement, labor and safety
Provide daily oversight to the installation, customer success and service teams (across all branches)
Ensure all jobs are completed on schedule and within budget for all product lines (Roofing, Baths, Windows & Doors)
Oversee and direct operations of all production areas to ensure volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved
Supervise the installation, customer success and service teams throughout the company on a daily basis; provide leadership and support to the team
Develop and implement production strategies and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality standards
Lead a team of production managers and supervisors, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to align production goals with overall business objectives
Ensure that departmental goals are met company-wide and adhere to established policies and procedures
Ensure completion of projects on time, within budget, and within quality standards, to meet business performance expectations
Prepare and present reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to the executive team regarding production operations
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated customer service issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
Evaluate and assist in selecting subcontractors in all markets for quality, cost, and reliability
Monitor procurement performance, customer satisfaction, supplier management, cost savings, and supplier diversity. Utilize a data-driven approach to identify areas for improvement
Act as a key member of the Leadership Team, proactively contributing to the company's continued growth, improvement, and advancement
Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures
Review safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates
Increase product adoption, customer loyalty and retention, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the home remodeling industry
5+ years of construction and installation experience as a project supervisor or foreman required
Experience managing a $100 million production department
Ability to operate and create reports using Salesforce
Knowledge of construction and code requirements
OSHA Certification
College degree preferred
Up to 25% travel required in job
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
