Role Summary:
The Director of Operators oversees and directs all company operations by working closely with all levels of management and the executive leadership team. The breadth of responsibility in this role is extensive and thus requires mastery of various company processes. The Director of Operations must have the attitude and aptitude to perform every role underneath them while also possessing the strategic mindset to build a sustainable operation by recruiting and retaining talent from the ground up.
Role Reponsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of all retail locations and production facilities. The company size is currently defined as 5 retail locations and 3 production facilities within a 100-mile radius.
- Recruit, train, retain, and coach retail, district, and production management; motivate managers to become autonomous leaders in meeting or exceeding company standards and operational goals.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement with a constant focus on SOP execution, customer satisfaction, employee retention and fiscal responsibility.
- Provide regular and effective feedback to direct reports, complete performance reviews, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Frequently visit physical locations and review key business indicators to proactively identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement company goals, programs, and policies which improve operational efficiency and build long-term success.
- Work closely with executive leadership and make recommendations for long-range growth initiatives and new strategies.
- Stand-in for retail managers, district managers and production managers during vacancies, vacations, and when launching new locations.
- Provide continual operational and customer service support, including being available for on call and emergency coverage when necessary.
- Supervise the hiring, training, and team development at all levels of retail operations and production departments.
- Spearhead launching new locations: organize operational requirements, facilitate store set up, and build positive community perception in new markets.
- Be a brand ambassador-cultivate relationships that enhance the company's image with employees, customers, vendors, and in our communities.
- Conduct regular management, and leadership meetings.
- Maintain professional growth by being proactive and seeking out knowledge and education.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 8+ years of restaurant management experience required
- 3+ years of multi-unit restaurant management experience required
- Professional demeanor and excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Proficient computer, software, and technology skills
- Valid Manager SERV Safe Certificate or equivalent (may be obtained within 90 days of hire date)
Physical Requirements:
- Move, traverse or remain in a stationary position for up to 10 hours
- Constantly use manual (e.g., scooping ice cream) and automatic food service equipment and touchscreens
- Regularly move up to 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet or more
- Occasionally move up to 50 pounds for a distance of 25 feet or more
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladder to clean or lift items stored above
- Occasionally position self to clean, maintain equipment, and retrieve items below counter height
- Willing and able to work and to safely drive in various unpredictable weather and traffic situations
