POSITION SUMMARY:


Under general and direction and guidance of a Director or Senior Director of Operations, provides program management, and direction for Tarian Security accounts. This role serves as the administrative liaison to facility representatives and manages the Tarian staff. This position also ensures the tenets of the Tarian security program are in place and are adhered to.

Compensation: $135,000/yr.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages security program site leaders (Program Managers and Facility Supervisors) and assists with areas of responsibility, as needed.
  • Effectively hires, manages, motivates, coaches, and formally evaluates the performance of all direct reports.
  • Assists with client and security personnel investigations and provides input and guidance for disciplinary activities.
  • Assists in development and ensures the completion of competency tasks, facility orders and post orders.
  • Develops and implements internal controls to ensure field staff compliance with competency tasks, facility orders, post orders, and assigned duties.
  • Creates, modifies, and updates policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for field operations and serves in a consultative and policy-setting role as related to the implementation and management of administrative solutions.
  • Coordinates resources and ensures adequate security coverage of client locations, to include extra coverage and special events
  • Analyzes department effectiveness, productivity, and profitability and makes recommendations and/or changes as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and assists with various security personnel training programs, as needed.
  • Manages budgets, purchases, and makes recommendations for other expenditures.
  • Assists in crafting responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Works and interacts with other employees, prospective employees, prospective and current clients, sales representatives, vendors, and visitors.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the facilities security representative and other facility management personnel, and local public safety agencies.
  • Writes letters of recognition and thank you notes for successful or positive situations involving Tarian and its staff.
  • Participates as needed as a transition team member for all newly acquired security clients.
  • Works with fleet manager to coordinate the assignment, repair, and maintenance of field vehicles.
  • Conducts staff meetings.
  • Prepares reports and conducts presentations.
  • Trains security personnel as necessary.
  • Provides other duties at the direction of or in the absence of their direct leadership.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

This is in an Op Ex series of jobs. This job classification is distinguished by Associate Director duties and responsibilities, level of operations management, direction for Tarian accounts, by number of funding sources, and number of direct reports.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field AND four (4) years of relevant work experience including security management experience, or any combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification preferred (required within one year of eligibility).
  • Obtain and maintain valid Driver’s License and meet company driving standards.
Knowledge of:
  • Project and program management.

  • Demonstrated ability in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, data management and Outlook, or other job-related software.
