We are a growing small, family owned company looking for a Director of Operations. Some of the requirements are:
- Must like dogs.
- Be organized, efficient, communicative, hard working, and have attention to detail.
- Comfortable with computers and smart phones and their use in a technology reliant service based business.
- Be a leader to employees and require minimal supervision.
- Have a customer service oriented attitude to make sure our customers receive the highest level of care.
- In a pinch, be able to run a route (non-CDL 26' box truck w/lift gate or a sprinter van) to fill an emergency need for a customer.
- Able to manage and oversee maintenance on a fleet of vehicles, pieces of equipment, and buildings.
- Have at least basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and equipment and be able to utilize the internet to find more information.
- Serve as a quality control for the Operations Department.
- Manage projects as assigned by upper management.
- Strive to keep operations efficient and economical without compromising safety.
- Understand routing and scheduling for a service based business.
- Manage drivers and operations staff to include recruiting, correction, and motivation.
- Some travel to other locations may be necessary.
- Develop, implement, and oversee a safety/risk management program for drivers and other operations staff including initial and recurring training.
- Develop, implement, and oversee training programs for drivers and other operations staff including initial and recurring training.
- Manage vendors efficiently while being cost effective.
