Director of Mental Health Counseling
Catholic Charities

Full-time, Benefit eligible
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the Catholic Charities leadership team, this position is responsible for all aspects of Mental Health services by overseeing daily program operations delivered through Catholic Charities. The director is responsible for the development of client services, prevention and educational programs based on the gospel values and Catholic Teachings – that God is the ultimate healer and that he gave us the sciences for healing and hope. The position assures that best practice and productivity standards are met, and that licensing, certification, and accreditation processes are successfully accomplished, and that supervision of therapy staff is conducted. The position is also responsible for community collaboration throughout the Diocese including marketing efforts to the communities and consumers, and program accountability to funders. The position ensures compliance with program regulating bodies including DHS licensing and credentials, HIPAA rights, Medical Assistance, and all other governing bodies of a Mental Health program.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health/social services field from an accredited college or university.
  • Clinical Licensure Required (LCSW, LPC) with clinical supervision certification.
  • Financial business acumen and ability to manage billing, compliance, and quality management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to speak in public.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective conflict management.
  • Places high value on confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Program development and implementation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Ability to be creative and develop/implement new initiatives to meet community/consumer need through the Mission and Vision of Catholic Charities and the Diocese of Green Bay, flexible and adaptable to developments along the way.
  • Ability to establish and meet priorities and goals.
  • Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be able to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead programs, processes, and people.
  • Ability to independently make sound decisions and effectively solve problems.
PREFERRED:
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical programs serving adults and/or children with mental illness.
  • 5+ years of experience in administrative and supervisory positions including experience in credentialing and contracting.
  • A practicing member of the Catholic Church.
