Position Summary
The Director, NC Marketing serves as the local liaison between Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership (SGEP) business unit and the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL).
  • Provide top tier customer service to the lottery management team as required
  • Develop and recommend marketing objectives, including sales volume and financial forecasts internally and to our lottery partners
  • Define, recommend, and implement objectives in each area of operations
  • Develop and implement methods to improve productivity within established budgets
  • Analyze market trends and potentials
  • Prepare sales forecasts for use in the planning of manufacturing operations and inventory control
  • Responsible for direct interaction with lottery inside sales and warehouse operations
  • Provide direction for the site management team to ensure they are meeting deadline deliveries, and contractual obligations in their respective management responsibilities
  • Ability to manage project schedules while meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Responsible for overall development of all personnel and staff reporting directly or indirectly
  • Escalate and follow-up on all customer requests that require additional support and visibility, or affect scope outside of local site
  • Communication between customer and corporate business units is absolutely essential in the over-all success of the operation

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong understanding of Marketing and product branding and general small business management, as well as familiarity with telephone sales and order fulfillment.   • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Financial management, budget development, and reporting experience
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication and reporting capabilities a must
  • Must have a strong relationship, people management, and human resources management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Experience in call center operations is helpful.
  • Experience in technical operation with software and system tools
  • Experience in planning and implementing marketing research projects.
  • MS Office - Being able to work in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

Education and/or Experience:
  • BS Degree in Business, Management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of customer support operations in the Lottery industry
  • Experience in a high volume environment
  • Experience in technical operation with software and system tools
  • Experience in planning and implementing marketing focus groups
