1836 is seeking a dynamic, creative, and resourceful Inventory Management and Planning Director. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across 1836 Total Commerce.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Inventory Management and Planning team in the US.
Work closely with leadership, brand management, purchasing and finance to lead the inventory planning process and demand forecasting.
Build & execute inventory annual/quarterly/monthly supply schedules for all SKUs based on adjusted sales annual/monthly forecasts and translate these forecasts to inventory replenishment recommendations.
Develop analytical models to fulfill and optimize multi channels inventory levels.
Define and maintain clear SOPs for company inventory planning and management, including but not limited to contingency planning, seasonal best practices, and in-stock reporting.
Building accurate inventory reports for use and review by the finance and brand management teams
Conduct robust analysis to identify and manage potential risk items that might endanger the supply schedule, coordinate with supply chain and purchasing teams to reduce or eliminate risk items, as well as relaying such information to brand Management and leadership.
Manage Inventory Management, receipts, transfers, and reconciliations, and act as the department Inventory Super User, ensuring timely and reliable input data in the system.
Provide planning and visibility for supply schedules on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis based on forecasted demand.
Monitor inventory levels on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure strategically optimal levels based on lead time data from purchasing, global logistics, as well as third-party logistics (3PLs).
Act as the direct manager of company inventory and ensure accurate data at all times: working through reconciliations, inbound and outbound receipts, as well as ensuring overall data accuracy.
Flagging and managing excess inventory across all points of the supply chain.
Requirements:
5+ years in a supervisory role in inventory planning and global supply chain.
Robust analytical skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong communications skills.
E-commerce experience preferred, but not required.
