Job Summary:
The Director of Human Resources is a key member of VOAOK's leadership team and will lead strategic talent management solutions that align people, HR processes and organizational priorities with VOAOK's vision. This role reports to the President/CEO and serves as a trusted advisor to organizational leadership, on people strategy, and as a mentor to HR team members. The Director of Human Resources will ensure that VOAOK's HR policies and procedures support a positive employee experience and a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster collaborative relationships with internal, and external, organizational stakeholders
- Design strategic people-related plans that support a culture of cohesiveness, diversity, equity and inclusion
- Identify and research HR issues; contribute information, analysis and recommendations to executive leadership team
- Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions
- Be a trusted HR Business Partner to organizational leadership and enhance effectiveness through leadership coaching
- Provide expertise in all areas of human resources including, but not limited to benefits design and administration, onboarding, talent management, culture and compliance
- Lead and/or participate in a variety of HR project initiatives
- Serve as a mentor to HR staff
- Perform other, job-related, duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Critical thinker with strong analytical skills and the proven ability to extract information to support data driven decisions
- Ability to work with diverse populations and navigate complex change management workstreams
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Planning and time management skills
- Must represent VOAOK in a positive manner through behaviors that align with VOAOK's core values
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR business partner or generalist required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior level HR business partner, or generalist, role and 1 year of experience supervising and/or leading others preferred
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
