Summary:
This is a full-time, technically oriented professional exempt position. The Director of Healthcare Data Quality for the 4medica Big Data Master Patient Index is responsible for overseeing the Data Quality of 4medica’s cloud-based Mater Patient Index (MPI) data platform on behalf of our customers consistent with the company’s guarantee of < 1% patient duplication. This role will conduct Data Assessments for prospective and current customers collaborating with 4medica’s Health Data Quality Consulting and product development resources to generate world class reports and insights. The Director of Healthcare Data Quality is responsible to construct, exercise and continuously improve sustainable best practices to ensure high levels of Data Quality across the platforms ensuring a systematic approach of people, process and technology. Lastly, this role will manage a team of Data Stewards and ensure Data Quality and employee productivity measures are consistently achieved.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for day-to-day management and quality of Healthcare data across 4medica’ data management platforms.
- Direct line supervision and management of a team of Data Stewards. Responsible for their performance including quality and productivity.
- Build and communicate standards, benchmarks, and processes for the daily execution of data stewardship tasks and the use of common methods and tools.
- Establish key performance metrics and hold team members accountable using a balanced scorecard approach.
- Continuous monitoring and supervision of customers’ potential duplicate identity worklist to ensure its volume does not exceed upper thresholds and limits consistent with the company’s patient duplication guarantee.
- Utilize 4medica’s business intelligence dashboard to analyze, model, and profile the data to discover new insights. Operationalize these new insights via people, process, or technology to improve Data Quality consistent with the company’s patient duplication guarantee.
- Consistently monitor appropriate Data Steward staffing levels based on performance metrics and business growth.
- Be process oriented and continually assess current state and drive change that allows the team to work smarter.
- Serve as an escalation point for any customer issues.
- Ensure continuous and effective communication with relevant team members, stakeholders, and colleagues in relation to stewardship activities.
- Collaborate closely with the 4medica’s Director of Health Data Quality Consulting, Development resources and others as required to ensure organizational alignment as it relates to the quality of data within the data management platforms.
Required Experience:
- Prior healthcare experience
- MPI/eMPI, data management, clinical integration, and exchange experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Health IT and project management.
- 5+ years of hands-on data experience, with demonstrated increase of responsibilities over time.
- Knowledge of clinical healthcare workflows.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
- Experience in improving and maintaining high Data Quality controls.
Preferred:
- 3 to 5 years of Health IT implementation experience.
- Experience with MPI/eMPI, EMR/EHR, or HIE implementations.
Required Skills
- Expert level use with web-based project management tools and software such as: Zoho, Wrike, Asana, SmartSheets, Jira, or Aha!.
- Expert with Microsoft Office365, spreadsheet and database programs, and dashboard reporting tools.
