Director Of Food And Beverage Operations

The Director of Food and Beverage Operations at the Reeds at Shelter Haven is ultimately responsible for all restaurant, bar, and banquet operations on a daily basis. This position oversees the Food & Beverage outlets and Banquets staff, is directly responsible for the Food and Beverage inventory, maximizes department efficiencies and revenue, fosters positive professional relationships with all Front of House and Back of House and Sales team members, and is the prime example of internal and external guest service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Participate in the preparation of the annual department budget with the General Manager. Forecast and monitor budget and control expenses by collaborating with the Executive Chef for food, the Beverage Manager for beverage, and the Food and Beverage Managers for labor.

· Approve all front of house staff schedules prior to them going live and ensure that payroll duties are completed correctly and on time.

· Partner with other department heads to identify additional sales opportunities. Drive planned and ad hoc promotions that focus on delivering world-class dining experiences for our external guests.

· Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled and maintained in a safe, secure manner and all company standard operation procedures are followed.

· Effectively communicate, monitor, and enforce all government regulations surrounding restaurants and bars.

· Direct day-to-day staffing requirements by planning and assigning work, establishing performance and development goals for the Food and Beverage Managers and Beverage Managers.

· Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve team member performance and manage conflict.

· Promote teamwork and quality guest service through regular staff trainings and meetings.

· Ensure all Food and Beverage facilities and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume on a daily basis.

· Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

· Analyze guest insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty.

· Interact with guests to ensure expectations are being met

· Stay up to date with current industry trends and fashions.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
