Here at Human Appeal USA we have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. You will join us on full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary and company benefits.

As the Director of Finance you will significantly contribute to the attainment of Human Appeal's USA objectives by providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the organisation's financial commitments are met, including developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control. To manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance department, while helping to drive business success by providing the financial insights that lead to better commercial decisions in the USA, as well as for HA's global and country offices when required. To establish strategies that will increase income, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency. All with a view to ensuring the stability of HA's finances, along with its long-term financial health and growth.

​Key duties and responsibilities of the Director of Finance:
Oversee the operational management of the Finance department
Provide a key role in driving the strategy and performance of the organisation, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Retaining constant awareness of the company's financial position and acting to prevent problems
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Conduct analysis to produce budgets and forecasts, and report on these at Senior level meetings
Ensure the financial compliance of the organisation, in line with relevant legislation, regulation, and audit recommendations
Oversee the timely and accurate processing and maintenance of financial data on HA computer systems
​What we're looking for in our Director of Finance:
Degree-educated in a relevant Finance discipline
Qualified Accountant
Significant Senior-level financial leadership, management and oversight experience
Experience with, or exposure to, the non-for-profit or public sector
Experience with, or exposure to, financial management in developing countries
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite
Experienced user of financial databases and systems.
Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages pertaining to our global offices, such as Arabic, Urdu, are desirable
Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector

Protecting an entire community from being washed away, the embankment has held back the floods each year, including Pakistan's worst flooding in a decade during its last monsoon season
Protecting the health of mothers and their children in war-torn Syria by running the only free maternity hospital in Idlib, Syria. By offering free medical care to vulnerable mothers and children, our staff at Al Imaan Hospital providing life-saving care to 100,000 patients every year
Quenching the thirst for the 2 million residents of the Gaza Strip by working with UNOCHA to purify Gaza's water network. And now, our newest project involves building a large-scale desalination plant to provide daily access to clean water for 60,000 people across Gaza
Recovering lost livelihoods for vulnerable farmers in Gaza by planting 80,000 olive trees since 1991. The farming project provides each farmer with 30-40 prime olive trees so they can establish a vibrant, sustainable crop that yields not just food but income for generations
