Director of Events Position Overview
We are an established Steakhouse located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Events to join our team. As the Director of Events, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of private events. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications for the position
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written skills
· Able to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
· Ability to meet and greet and coordinate with prospective and current clients.
· Exhibit professionalism and etiquette across all forms of communication.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high end event sales and events planning
· Strong understanding of both front of house and back of house restaurant operations
· Exhibit professionalism and etiquette across all forms of communication.
· Tech savvy with knowledge of Open Table, Resy, is a plus.
Responsibilities
· The position will also oversee all event booking reaching out to corporate clients in the area making sure to follow up with them, event booking, event sales outreach, planning, coordinating event details, and assisting in final execution working directly with clients and the FOH & BOH team.
· The Director of Private Events' primary responsibility is to build and maintain clients for an exclusive private dining room collection while building sales.

· Produce all proposals, contracts, and client-facing materials, and initiate the distribution of initial proposals by taking deposits. Verify the accuracy of pricing on estimates and invoices. Manage complete billing process for events.
· Create and deliver Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in a thorough, well-organized, and timely fashion.
· Provide on-site support for events where necessary.
· Navigate client concerns or dissatisfaction to ensure relationship integrity.
· Supervise all event activities to guarantee client satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
· Plan and execute all aspects of Events, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and logistics

Experience:
- Proven experience in event planning and management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Experience in budgeting and financial management for events
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies and techniques
- Previous experience in the hospitality Steakhouse industry is preferred

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
