As the Director of Engineering and Security, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our world-class facility. Leading a talented team of engineers and Security professionals, you will drive efforts to maintain and enhance our property's functionality and efficiency, all while prioritizing the well-being of our guests and team members.
What will I be doing?
As Director of Engineering and Securityyou would be responsible for directing and overseeing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state and local regulations
• Conduct facility inspections
• Assign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system Direct, oversee and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs
• Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including, but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standard
Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards
• Direct daily department operations including, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation
• Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
• Recruit, interview and train team members
• Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day Engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
• Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas
• Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
• Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
• Prepare Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
• Comply with Hilton's Hotel Safety and Security Profile
• Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
• Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers
• Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
• Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
• Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses
• Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
• Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
• Manage all Team Member related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation
• Ensure Security aligns with property specific goals (Safety of Guests and Team Members)

The annual salary range for this Executive Committee position is $90,000 -$130,000 and is based on specialized experience and location.
