KVC Health Systems is seeking a Director of Development who will be responsible for fundraising efforts to support KVC Health Systems.

KVC Health Systems is seeking to hire a full-time professional fundraising position securing Corporate Sponsorships and managing 2-3 Signature Annual Events to support KVC Health Systems. The Foundation team is highly engaged, autonomous, committed to quality and passionate about KVC’s vision for all children to be safe and connected to a strong family and healthy community. The Director of Development – Corporate Giving and Events will:
- Submit and secure corporate sponsorships as related to special events.
- Work with the Senior Director of Development to develop event budgets and corporate underwriting goals, identify prospective sponsors and develop moves management strategies for 2-3 signature fundraising events:
Annual Kids Classic Golf Tournament (August) and KVC Gala (November), *tentative Hero Luncheon (May 2022). Secure event sponsors, including in-kind sponsorships.
- Work with the Communications team and design partners to develop and update corporate sponsorship materials for the events including Corporate Sponsorship Packet benefit levels and solicitation letters, track sponsor contracts, in-kind (auction), and ensure donor(s) receives all benefits.
- Recruit, coordinate and manage all special event Chairs, committees, and volunteers.
- Research and investigate all venues for events, including preparing overall cost analyses for each venue. Seek multiple bids prior to making a final recommendation to Foundation President.
- Solicit and manage all vendors related to special events and manage and negotiate contracts with input from the Foundation President.
- Collaborate with Board member volunteers to plan events and solicit auction items.
- Work with the committee and communications team to develop event programming and entertainment as appropriate.
- Prepare event collateral material, plan events, generate guest lists, coordinate leadership, and staff, and follow through on event logistics and execution.
- Assist with and support Foundation cultivation events including Board, Regional Board, community groups and others with the potential to increase revenue for the Foundation.
- Develop and meet event revenue goals for existing and new events, manage event expense budgets utilizing metrics and data.
- Interface and work with the Donor Relations Manager to ensure adherence to gift acceptance, gift counting, and gift processing policies and procedures, and to fulfill information requests and maintain reporting accuracy.
- This position may require travel to meet performance goals.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor, executive leadership staff, and as donors, potential supporters, and strategies warrant.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Licensure/Certification:
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience including demonstrated success in corporate sponsorship, special events, fundraising, and management.
Experience in fundraising data management experience. Raiser's Edge is highly desirable.
Experience with moves management including but not limited to, prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft programs
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated experience with developing event chairs and recruiting/ coordinating volunteer event committees.
