Director Of Communications And Community Programs

Looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and passionate individual to join our team as Director of Communications and Community Programs at Flag Star Football.

Full-time, 40 hours/week. Flexible hours and hybrid in person/virtual work.

Responsibilities include:

• Working in conjunction with CEO on all mass communications, marketing strategies and social media posts
• Managing HQ email account and responding to general questions in a timely manner
• Overseeing the Flag Star Football Foundation, 501c3 Governance
• Spearheading fundraising (including annual fundraising event), sponsorships, grant applications
• Facilitating scholarship outreach and retention, reporting all scholarship data
• Data organization, running reports and utilizing digital technology to foster outreach
• Coordinating out-of-school programs, building/maintaining relationships with partner organizations

• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Passion for promoting equity, access and inclusion
• Manages themselves but enjoys working collaboratively
• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree
• PREFERRED: experience in the nonprofit sector OR experience in communications, marketing
• PREFERRED: experience with Mailchimp
