What you’ll be doing:

•Under supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director plans, implements, directs and evaluates the nursing care for assigned units.

•Coordinates the delivery of patient services; creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning.

•Provides for the development and evaluation of staff.

•Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system.

•Accountable on a twenty-four (24) hour basis for the management of all facets of nursing activities for assigned unit(s).

•Assures that nursing care meets legal, ethical, institutional, and professional standards.

•Participates in the Hospital’s Quality Improvement and Service Excellence programs.

•Interprets and facilitates the application and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and organization.

What you can expect is:

•Position is located an hour from Houston.

•Will work with a great group that is growing. Will supervise around 40 FTE's.

•Facility is about 120 beds, accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital along with the Rural Health Clinic.

Requirements

What they’re looking for:

•Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required.

•Really want someone with Director experience but would consider someone with two years of Nurse Manager experience.

•Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or immediately eligible.

•Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications within 90 days of employment.

Benefits

Hours and compensation potential:

•The position is full time day shift.

•Range is $110-$130k depending on experience.

•A full benefits package including CME allowance as well as a 20K sign-on bonus.
