Your Role

As a Director FP&A Strategy you will report to Sr. Director, Corporate FP&A with extensive executive engagement with CEO, CFO, KidneyCo CEO, SVP of Strategy & BD, FLT, Group Presidents, and other key functional executives on a regular basis and ad hoc presentations to ELT
Own enterprise wide sales, income, and cash flow for the KidneyCo and BaxCo spin which is presented regularly to the CEO/CFO/Kidney CEO/Working group of the board, and full Board of Directors; partnering very closely with external advisors including banks and consultants
Lead the impairment testing for division reporting which is done through close partnership with the Controller, Assistant Controller, and PWC
Responsible for the segment change project as well as ongoing maintenance after the go live in Q3
Engage cross functionally and work closely with SVP Strategy on highly confidential divestiture or acquisition candidates and analysis, as well as the Portfolio of Initiatives which will drive Baxter's future growth and capital allocation
Lead Baxter's new LRP and strategy process, which now also includes market modeling and WAMGRs which will be used by the board and for investor calls
What you'll be doing
- Right hand of the CFO and CEO in preparation of overall enterprise sales, income, and cash flow forecasting for the LRP and spin model
- Prepares several board of director presentations throughout the year
- Enterprise leader for the financial re-wiring for verticalization including partnering with Corporate Controller, Group Presidents, EY, and PWC to ensure internal and external financial statements are accurate in a new 4 segment model
- Lead the critical cost envelope process to ensure Baxter's one time costs and dis-synergies are in line with expectations
- Lead the overall spin financial model and update in preparation for the Board of Directors as well as the Form 10 filing for the spin
- Partner with SVP Corporate Strategy on key initiatives including capital allocation, portfolio, external markets, M&A, and collaboration on Board of Director strategy presentations
- Lead the company's Long Range Financial plan end to end process including working with CEO, CFO, SVP Corporate Strategy, and VP IR on setting Baxter's strategy, financial plan, and overall capital allocation including the preparation of presentation to the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with Corporate Strategy in developing a strategic lens to capital allocation; including the development of ideal process and review meeting cadence with business unit and functional partners to support the efficient allocation of R&D and SG&A dollars
- Analytics around portfolio to evaluate profitability by Segment and division
- Ad-hoc analysis and strategic support for Corporate Development, M&A, and Strategy
- Lead the CapEx allocation and investment process
- Provide analysis and input on capital deployment and investments
- Lead support for the Enterprise R&D allocation, funding of investments, and enterprise R&D analytics
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent).
- MBA and/or CPA.
- Healthcare and/or pharma or medical device industry experience preferred 7+ years of working experience with at least 3 -5 years within FP&A in a large multinational organization Senior level leader with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Change agent with ability to effectively manage and drive impactful change across multiple geographies and functions
- Ability to lead and operate in a team-oriented environment and influence cross-functional partners
- Strong process mentality and proven success in leading business initiatives to deliver large scale operational improvements
- Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment
- Strong ownership mentality; maintains focus on driving projects to completion and delivering output/results
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks concurrently; owns career and is accountable for managing own development
- Strong financial and eye for business; familiar with financial systems and various aspects of financial reporting
- 80/20 work approach, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple ongoing projects
- Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and build concise and compelling presentations to senior leadership audience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $176,000 - $264,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
