The Director of Financial Planning & Analytics leads the Financial Planning process and analytics function within the Finance team. This position works closely with all department and function leaders. The Director leads the team to provide analysis and insights across many facets of our restaurant business. This position develops insightful suggestions for strategic action, collaborating with Marketing (Digital), HR, Information Systems (IS), and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
You'll get a chance to:
- Lead the annual and multi-year Financial Planning and budgeting processes, including a rolling 18-month forecast, five-year financial model, management reporting, capital expenses budget (CAPEX) and the annual operating plan (AOP).
- Collaborate with the team to develop periodic and quarterly reporting packages and leads research and communication of trends and variances versus forecast and budget.
- Assess progress against financial plan, proposes mitigation options for key financial risks, and delivers all of this in high-impact presentations on a period and quarterly basis.
- Lead quarterly capital budget reviews with the CFO and CEO.
- Lead the Center of Excellence (COE) for Analytics by partnering with Information Systems (IS) to develop and maintain governance, data stewardship, and analytics models and testing; implements new technologies such as AI and ML.
- Serve as primary liaison to Financial Planning and Analytics for other departments.
- Define, track, and automate key finance and business impact metrics.
- Provide key insights from these metrics to leadership team.
- Implement and drive adoption of standardized reporting tools (e.g., Jedox, PowerBI).
- Identify opportunities for system and model improvements to increase efficiency and refine reporting.
- Leads the FP&A team, developing and coaching team members to elevate their performance.

Qualifications:
Your background & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and MBA required; CPA preferred
- Minimum ten years of finance experience, preferably in a national/international retail/hospitality environment with increasing management responsibility
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
- If hired, successful completion of annual store training
- If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine.
