Job Description:
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field of study or equivalent years of experience

Work Experiences:
  • Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing IT professionals.
  • 10+ years Information Technology management experience, including experience with the many of the following areas:
    • Technically proficient with IBM Rational Software Architect, UML 2.x structural modeling, and UML metmodeling
    • Roadmapping and governance of full solution stack: from high-level business function to low-level hardware devices
    • Enterprise integration patterns leveraging (Confluent Kaftka & IBM middleware including IBM MessageBroker and/or IBM DataStage)
    • Up-to-date knowledge of information security best practices and PCI requirements
    • Technically proficient in database replication technologies including Oracle DataGuard, IBM CDC and Dell Shareplex
    • Technically proficient with multiple operating system environments including IBM pSeries/AIX, SuSe Linux, RHEL/CentOS, and Microsoft Windows Server
    • Technically proficient with multiple development technologies including Java and bash-style scripting.
    • Technically proficient with multiple service platforms including: Lotus Domino, ServiceNow, and IBM BlueMix.
    • Technically proficient in SAN/NAS storage systems
    • Technically proficient with corporate-scale LAN/WAN networking and data architectures
    • Technically proficient with major cloud IaaS providers including AWS, SoftLayer, and Azure

Responsibilities:
  • Assign, schedule and manage the duties of the IT Architecture and Middleware teams.
  • Drive maturity of managed service Integration Center of Excellence to include development and post-delivery support.
    • Required to lead the development of middleware standards and procedures, both operational and functional
    • Balance hardware, network, software, and architecture issues to arrive at a scalable and maintainable solution that meets client requirements for up-time, performance, and functionality.
  • Analyze, plan, and manage multiple programs over complete SDLC.
  • Development of talent management roadmap for senior management team
  • Participate as a knowledge expert in enterprise-level architectural decisions.
  • Plan and execute replication and DR activities that pertain to database systems.
  • Forecasting and planning of capacity and performance upgrades
  • Keep abreast of IT industry trends and Developments to help identify potential new technologies for the improvement of Academy's systems infrastructure.
  • Manage priorities and handle concurrent projects.
  • Lead a cross-functional team through priority 1 issues when they arise.
  • Develop talent management roadmaps that attract and retain top talent and are aligned with the team's strategic priorities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy's policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
