ASST. STORE DIRECTOR
REPORTS TO:Store Director
JOB SUMMARY
Add value to the company by exceeding set goals and objectives. Work in close collaboration with store leadership to ensure consistent service, hospitality and experience for customers and employees. Identify and manage all interior and exterior maintenance and repair requirements for the store. Oversee the company’s donation program and serve as a community liaison with non-profits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Serve as a member of the Leadership Team in accordance with our core values of Adaptability, Genuine Passion, Gratitude, Integrity, Excellence together and Service.
- Perform all regular duties associated with Assistant Directorship in a professional manner
- Provides consistent and frequent communication to guide all employees towards the store’s vision, goals, and expectations as set by the Store Director.
- Ensure a level of hospitality consistent with the AO brand
- Engage staff by creating sales contests, games and other means to motivate staff to exceed monthly, weekly and daily sales targets
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate inventory of all retail & custom supplies.
- Responsible for all regular and periodic maintenance and repair of store premises, including landscaping and exterior maintenance
- Responsible for ensuring all employees are in dress code w/ nametags at all times
- Continuously alert buying team to new trends and shifting customers’ purchasing preferences
- Give guidance on pricing strategies and opportunities as well as recommend items for price reduction
- Attend morning zoom meetings and participate in key company mini-retreats, workshops and meetings
- Meet monthly with staff for team building and motivation to create a fun working environment
- Responsible for promoting and modeling gratitude within the company
- Lead by example in creating a friendly and positive store experience for employees and customers.
- Serve as Aggieland Outfitters liaison with local non-profit organizations and oversee that the donation program is carried out and documented in accordance with store policy
- Make bank deposits on behalf of the store and arrange for petty cash and change as needed.
- Support the Internal Audit department in their efforts to improve company processes

- Demonstrates winning customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
- Demonstrates a high level of energy and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays, game days, graduations, ring day, special events.
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS / PROFESSIONS EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
- Prior retail senior management experience preferred but not required
