In this position...

As our Director of University Recruiting, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative talent acquisition strategies for a leading global automotive brand. We are seeking a strategic and seasoned recruiting leader to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition Leadership team. Reporting directly to the Global TA Leader, you will lead the recruitment and strategic planning for hiring interns and full-time college graduates. Your role will involve establishing and fostering relationships with universities, educational institutions, and professional organizations to create strategic programs that support university recruiting efforts.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to initiate and build programs from the ground up, navigate ambiguity effectively, evaluate talent for both the team and the organization, and deliver detailed data and analytics.

What you'll do...

  • Develop strategies to support Ford's campus recruitment team in delivering talent across all early career programs, including interns, Ford College Grad rotations, and co-op programs.

  • Lead the recruitment strategy for hiring interns and full-time college graduates

  • Build sustainable strategies with employment branding to attract high-potential talent and enhance Ford Intern Experience

  • Drive operational excellence within the UR recruiting team through process improvements and ensuring seamless execution from business need to hire

  • Execute a diversity-focused early talent strategy and contribute to cross-Talent Acquisition initiatives

  • Cultivate internal and external partnerships to diversify the talent pipeline

  • Work with key stakeholders to create and enhance meaningful experiences for summer interns, improving the on-campus or virtual Intern experience through meaningful and productive process

  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and career development opportunities to the team

  • Monitor candidate pipelines and diversity metrics, identifying trends and addressing potential gaps in the Intern/FCG experience

  • Lead training initiatives on best practices and provide updates toward DE&I goals

You'll have...

  • 10+ years of recruiting experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading University Relations teams for a large organizations hiring over 500 interns/college grads annually

  • Proven experience in implementing diversity strategies to enhance intern talent pools

  • Strong technology acumen to optimize recruiting processes

  • High School Diploma or GED;

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience in scaling a recruiting team and process from startup to full scale

  • Previous leadership in Campus Recruiting for organizations targeting top talent

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing university talent acquisition and attraction programs

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on detail and action

  • Team player with autonomy and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Proficiency in ATS and CRM systems, preferably Oracle and/or Handshake
