The Director of Business Strategy is a key leadership position within the Strategy Domain. The position holds the responsibility of identifying opportunities and solutions based on cross-client experiences to develop plans to capitalize on improved client relationships.  The Director nurtures existing relationships with key, senior client stakeholders and develops new relationships to broaden touchpoints with the client.  This role will influence and guide Business Strategy ideation and establish methodologies for how to use business and marketing insights to improve client operations.
What You'll Be Doing
    • Collaborate with multiple disciplines (e.g, Data Science, Tech, Creative, Client Services) to deliver powerful integrated work and solve complex, undefined problems.
    • Lead the day-to-day progress of the project team and maintain a high bar for quality of work.
    • Develop and achieve client KPI's with Business Leads.
    • Conceptualize the future of marketing programs for clients and their brands.
    • Bring innovative and creative strategic thinking to win back lapsed customers, increase customer frequency and grow customer lifetime value.
    • Identify opportunities, form hypotheses, craft solutions, and present recommendations to clients.
    • Working directly with and presenting to the CMO and VP-level clients regularly.
    • Support the client's implementation of recommendations/solutions to ensure value is realized.
    • Manage competing priorities, deliverables, and timelines to exceed client expectations.
    • Contribute to GALE's commercial agenda by developing proposals and thought leadership.
    • Conduct analysis to understand the client's customers, industry, and competitors.
    • Mentor and develop junior level team members within the strategy domain.
    • Create and contribute to an environment where innovation and collaboration thrives in everyday work.
About You
    • 10+ years of Business Strategy experience at an agency, consultancy or within industry.
    • Prior experience, and/or affinity for, digital/marketing strategy work.
    • MBA preferred (in Marketing).
    • Prior experience in driving CRM & loyalty program strategy.
    • Prior experience in creating omni-channel customer journeys (email, media, social, etc.).
    • Prior experience working with premium, ambitious, and leading brands.
    • Prior experience in analyzing client operations and making business recommendations that will help shape improvement in revenue, customer marketing and brand storytelling.
    • Demonstrated ability to design A/B testing and business optimization plans.
    • Ability to work with data and generate marketing hypothesis to test strategic ideation.
    • Strong ability to rapidly create presentation materials to support marketing strategy.
    • Demonstrated ability and comfort working with senior client stakeholders.
    • Structured thinker with the ability to rapidly drive to insights and implications.
    • Understanding and passion for brand storytelling and creativity.
    • Comfort with ambiguity and a high degree of attention to detail.
    • Capacity to take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
    • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to travel throughout the USA and Canada for client meetings as necessary.
